With An Open Heart
We are living in a time that is asking a lot of us. A moment that feels intense, tender, and in many ways overwhelming. So much so that on some days it might feel safest to check out and turn away from all that is unfolding. Yet if we allow ourselves to not look away and instead show up, messy, imperfect, and with an open heart, we can become the ones who bring a new reality into being. Perhaps we can even recognize that we came here specifically for this purpose. That it is an honor to be here and alive during this time, dedicating every part of our being to caring for one another and the earth. Fostering an ecosystem of care, because the reality is that we are going to need each other, and always have.
This week, hold yourself and those around you with care. What has been on your heart lately? Are you finding yourself checking out, or leaning more deeply into this moment in time? What might it look like to take care of yourself and your neighbors this week? Reflect on the path you are walking and the current season your life. Has it felt full and abundant, or challenging and uncertain? The world can feel like it is falling apart while your own life still holds goodness and possibility. Or you may feel as though your life is unraveling alongside it, waiting for someone to show you the way. Wherever you find yourself on that spectrum, remember that the antidote to despair is care: choosing again and agin, to show up and care deeply for yourself, for those around you, and for this earth.
